All the things we do with our dogs while we live with them to prevent annoying or destructive behaviors. It is important to block these behaviors without damaging their motivation, i.e. we try not to use suppressive techniques. Pressure erodes motivation (see Generalized Inhibition). We always aim to cultivate confidence and commitment to the work we do without allowing them to practice (and get good at) the things we don’t like.
