A principle of reinforcement. An opportunity to engage in more probable behaviors or activities will reinforce less probable ones. In other words, when the behavior that a dog is not keen on doing is followed by behavior that the dog really enjoys, the dog begins to enjoy the behavior they previously didn’t enjoy.
