Progressive desensitization is a training technique that involves gradually exposing a dog to stimuli that might cause fear or anxiety in a safe and controlled environment. The goal is to help the dog become less sensitive to these stimuli over time. This technique is often used to help dogs with phobias or anxiety-related behavioral issues, such as fear of loud noises or separation anxiety. Using this technique, the dog can learn to tolerate and eventually become desensitized to the stimuli that previously triggered their fear or anxiety.
